movomo for teams
Most wellness benefits ask people to be consistent. This one adapts: to the days they can actually train, the time they have that evening, and the knee that still hurts.

59–66
Two months, typically. For some, nearly a year. Longer than motivation lasts, which is what a streak is for.7

Across 122 evaluations, nothing predicted success better than writing down what you ate.5
The app
They ask for a program in plain language. They log a meal by photographing it. They breathe for three minutes. They do it next to the people they work with. And every set gets counted as they go.

Grounded in published research
Each one links to the paper and says how it was done.
World Health Organization — Physical activity fact sheet
WHO's standing guidance, drawn from its 2020 Guidelines on Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour, which were developed by an expert group from systematic reviews of the evidence on activity and health outcomes in adults.
Momma, Kawakami, Honda & Sawada (2022), British Journal of Sports Medicine
Systematic review and meta-analysis of 16 prospective cohort studies, individually ranging from 3,809 to 479,856 participants, with dose-response modelling of weekly minutes and adjustment for aerobic activity.
Watson et al. (2015) — AASM & Sleep Research Society joint consensus statement
A panel of 15 sleep experts reviewed more than 5,300 published articles and reached a recommendation through a modified consensus process. The linked paper is the panel's own account of that methodology.
Holt-Lunstad, Smith & Layton (2010), PLoS Medicine
Meta-analysis of 148 prospective studies following 308,849 people, mean age 63.9, for an average of 7.5 years. Random-effects odds ratio for survival, adjusted across study designs and tested for publication bias.
Michie, Abraham, Whittington, McAteer & Gupta (2009) — meta-regression
Meta-regression across 122 evaluations of healthy-eating and physical-activity interventions, testing which behaviour-change techniques predicted effect size. Interventions that included self-monitoring averaged an effect size of 0.42 against 0.26 for those that did not, the largest gap of any technique tested. Self-monitoring arms: n=10,572; arms without it: n=34,175. The link is the DARE + quality-assessed abstract, which is open; the paper itself is not.
Galante et al. (2021), PLoS Medicine
Systematic review and meta-analysis of 136 randomised trials with 11,605 participants across 29 countries, in NON-clinical settings including workplaces. The authors report wide prediction intervals and state the effect cannot be assumed to hold in every setting.
Singh, Murphy, Maher & Smith (2024), Healthcare
The 59-66 day figure is the MEDIAN; individuals ranged from 4 days to 335. Systematic review and meta-analysis of 20 intervention studies with 2,601 participants, registered on PROSPERO and reported to PRISMA 2020. Replaces the single 82-person study this page cited first, which was the smallest source on it.
